basic information
**Lecture Overview** This presentation will introduce Shimizu Corporation's efforts in space development. Since 1987, we have been actively challenging space development, focusing on research and development, and have accumulated knowledge through various initiatives both domestically and internationally. In 2018, we made a significant shift from the traditional research and development phase to the business commercialization phase, leading to the establishment of the current Frontier Development Department's Space Development Division. Currently, we are primarily engaged in business commercialization and research and development in three main areas: "small satellite launch services," "satellite data utilization services," and "lunar development and utilization." In this presentation, after introducing the initiatives in each area, the speaker will provide a detailed explanation of the efforts in the "lunar development and utilization" area, focusing on research and development examples aimed at constructing a lunar base. **Lecture Items** ■ History of Shimizu Corporation's space development ■ Considerations for commercialization in the space sector ■ Research and development in the lunar development and utilization area ■ Summary and future outlook ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card and information exchange session
