Infrastructure Maintenance Inspection Support System *Visualizing surface changes from 1mm using point clouds
Infrastructure Maintenance Inspection Support System MEMOREAD®
"Difference analysis of infrastructure structures" utilizes point clouds to confirm surface damages such as floating, peeling, honeycombing, entrapment, subsidence, deformation, and cross-sectional defects.
The infrastructure maintenance inspection support system MEMOREAD was developed to contribute to the efficiency of inspections and on-site surveys of infrastructure structures and to measures for mitigating third-party damage. By utilizing 3D TIN model technology from point cloud data and visualizing the differences through gradients, it is expected to discover issues such as concrete delamination and spalling that appear as aging changes in structures, leading to a reduction in the time required for on-site surveys and a decrease in the burden on inspectors. By understanding damaged areas in advance, this technology helps reduce the burden on inspectors and streamline the process, while also playing a role in preventing oversight of damage areas and mitigating third-party damage. 【Features】 ■ Early detection of surface damage using point cloud data ■ Reduction of sketching work for damage diagrams on-site ■ Efficiency in sound inspection using analysis results ■ Prevention of inspection oversights and extraction of key areas ■ Measurement data can be analyzed quickly with minimal effort ■ Analysis results can be easily attached to Excel and other formats *For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Applications/Examples of results
- Visualization of surface changes and damaged areas of infrastructure structures - Verification of phenomena such as spalling, subsidence, expansion, sinking, honeycombing, bending, bulging, deposits, steps, cold joints, confirmation of pouring construction height, and wall collapses - Chalking of cracks and tracing of pavement surface cracks - Verification of the quality of the applied spray thickness - Comparison of point cloud data from two different periods (visualization of terrain changes such as slopes, and displacements of structures and pipelines) - Verification of the thickness of tunnel lining concrete and visualization of internal displacements in tunnels - Follow-up surveys after repair work (peeling, cracking, lifting) - 2D mapping of structures without drawings - Creation of damage diagrams *For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.
Detailed information
-
Screening Analysis Results (Bridge Deck) Comprehensive Understanding of Infrastructure Structures What if we could have grasped the full extent of the damage to the entire structure before this investigation? I believe it would help reduce the burden on technicians during inspections and save time.
-
Screening analysis results (free lime on wall surfaces) visualization of damaged areas. This system visualizes surface deformations such as peeling, flaking, exposed rebar, cold joints, honeycombing, expansion, subsidence, displacement, and cracking.
-
Differential analysis (bridge substructure) is also utilized as a means to understand initial deformations and the actual conditions by comparing the results with the CIM model and analyzing point cloud data measured at the time of completion.
-
Differential analysis (differential analysis of changes between data from period 1 and period 2) Recently, point cloud data has been used as verification material for cases where bridge piers have collapsed due to scouring caused by heavy rain, which washed away the soil under the footings of the bridge substructures. It is possible to analyze changes in the structure over time, such as past and future, or before and after construction, using point clouds.
-
Utilization of screening analysis (reinforced earth walls) for regular inspections of "road civil engineering structures" The use of new technologies for regular inspections of road civil engineering structures has been recognized. Why not start by collecting data using point clouds to accumulate information for understanding the current situation and comparing it for the future?
-
Creation of screening analysis (culvert) development diagrams While aiming for three dimensions, tunnels and culverts are still viewed in two dimensions. The results of differential analysis are used to create development diagrams that serve as materials for understanding the full extent of damage.
-
Creating 3D models from 2D drawings Parts are created as 3D models and synthesized onto point cloud data, which is used for distance and interference checks.
-
Manage inspection information with text flags. Information such as close-up investigation photos, drawings, and exploration results can be stored as image data in point cloud data.
-
Support for visualizing structures without drawings Are you still measuring the dimensions of structures over several days with multiple people? By measuring in a short time using point clouds, you can enhance safety and reduce costs. 2D visualization can also be achieved through a simple approach of converting point clouds into 3D models and outputting the data, contributing to reduced burden and time savings.
