The high-durability STK net is a rust-free polyester hexagonal net that serves as an alternative to metal wire. Originally developed as a net for marine aquaculture, it has been repurposed for land applications and is used for various purposes such as rockfall prevention, sediment control, wildlife damage prevention, and fall prevention. It is ideal for areas along the coast where salt damage is a concern, volcanic regions with acidic gas emissions, and cultural properties or scenic areas where aesthetics are important. It contributes to improved weight and workability, being about one-fifth the weight of traditional metal wire.
