FlexScan22 improves data acquisition efficiency and enhances self-position estimation accuracy by rotating a high-precision scanner in two directions. As a result, it enables the recording of high-quality and high-precision point cloud data, which was difficult with conventional mobile mapping methods. With the extremely high point cloud quality (low range noise) and large measurement range of the stationary high-end scanner IMAGER 5016, FlexScan22 achieves high accuracy in SLAM results. Each profile scanned with FlexScan22 can record 10,000 points of point cloud data, ensuring that the details of the 3D model are accurately reproduced. In cases where even higher accuracy is required, SLAM data can be supplemented by adding control points or static scans.

It is suitable for efficient measurement over a wide range, such as roads, rivers, bridges, and within buildings. Furthermore, it is ideal for extensive measurement tasks with time constraints in fields such as architecture, engineering, construction, facility management, process industries, cultural heritage documentation, and scientific investigations. The Z+F FlexScan22 can be used as a backpack, allowing for efficient measurements while walking in places with obstacles. Additionally, measurements can be conducted by installing it on mobile platforms like carts, or by setting the FlexScan 22 on an elevator tripod with a movable frame for static measurements.
