We conducted a comparison of internal diameter threading processing with and without a breaker, focusing on chips and processed surface!
This time, the cutting report (Kezurepo) is a mini-series comparing internal threading processing with and without a breaker. The material being machined is S45C, and both types of inserts used are from HORN's System 111. The inserts with breakers were newly developed in 2019, but at that time, they were only available in Systems 108 and 114. This year, Systems 111 and 116 have been newly added. Please pay attention to how the "chip removal" changes depending on the presence or absence of a breaker. *For detailed content of the column, you can view it through the related links.
