"SB52931-01" is a crossing warning prevention unit (Type C) that is mounted on the back of the jack panel of an F-type relay. It absorbs the instantaneous "sway" that occurs when the relay drops for the crossing control device at the starting point, which is difficult to prevent with a slow action unit.
