We would like to introduce the design and measurement of the drum school practice studio that we conducted. ■ Location: Kanagawa Prefecture ■ Project Details: Drum School Practice Studio This is a case where we designed the practice studio for a drum school and conducted post-construction verification measurements. Since it is located on a high floor of a tenant building, we implemented soundproofing design considering the tenants above and below. We also took sound absorption measures to suppress sound reflection and low-frequency muddiness within the studio, creating a space where sound resonates clearly during practice. This not only prevents the drum sounds from leaking outside but also improves the clarity of sound within the studio. A comfortable studio space has been completed, allowing students to safely refine their performance skills. ■ Customer Feedback: We were worried about sound leakage to the floors above and below, but thanks to the soundproofing design, we now have a studio where we can perform without worrying about our surroundings. Unnecessary echoes have also been suppressed, so I believe students can concentrate on their practice while clearly hearing the sounds.
