SOUNDFIELD SPS200

The long-established SOUNDFIELD company, known for its Ambisonics-compatible microphones, offers three-dimensional sound microphones.

SOUNDFIELD, a long-established manufacturer of microphones for Ambisonics-compatible three-dimensional sound field recording, offers its flagship model, the SPS200. Since its establishment in 1978, SOUNDFIELD has been the most accomplished manufacturer, supplying numerous tetrahedral microphones (A-format) to broadcasting stations, recording studios, and technical research institutes. For over 20 years, our company has used SOUNDFIELD microphones for three-dimensional sound field generation, and their immersive surround sound has astonished many. The 4-channel audio captured with the SPS200 can be encoded into first-order Ambisonics in either AmbiX or FuMa formats using various A to B format converter plugins. The 4-channel source of first-order Ambisonics can be decoded into speakers or binaural audio with Ambisonics-compatible software, and particularly by using the NovoNotes 3DX plugin, optimal three-dimensional sound field generation can be achieved in both speaker and binaural playback environments.
