To reduce the burden on dialysis patients! I want to shape a specially designed injection needle.
We would like to introduce a case in which we received a consultation from a specialized medical institution for artificial dialysis regarding the prototype of a special injection needle. The challenge was to create a suitable shape for an injection needle that would allow dialysis patients, who use thicker needles than usual, to reduce their burden by inserting the needle into the blood vessel through the same puncture site each time. By repeatedly conducting shaping, processing, verification, and feedback, we were able to clarify the issues for practical application. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■Challenge - We want to prototype an injection needle that can further minimize pain in the almost painless buttonhole puncture method. ■Requirements - We want to shape a needle with a special design. - We want the surface to be as smooth as possible. - We want to maintain durability even in the thin part of the tip. *For more detailed information about the case, please refer to the related link.
