[For explosion-proof measures] Self-locking even during tilting inversion! Inline reduction gear.
No need for brake stoppers! It can hold the load while stopped and allows for work and experiments to be conducted at an angle. The input and output shafts are aligned in a straight line, achieving space-saving design!
This is a compact inline reduction gear equipped with our company's self-locking mechanism (Shoji-Lock). For example, it can hold the load even if the movement is stopped during the ascent, rotation, or tilting of the device, making it suitable for requests such as wanting to conduct experiments or perform tasks at a stopped position. Another feature is that, unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions that require a considerable amount of space due to the input and output shafts being orthogonal, our design has the input and output shafts aligned in a straight line (inline), allowing for a lightweight, smart, and compact design that can be easily integrated into various devices. The lineup can be selected based on output shaft torque and reduction ratios, with options available for output shaft torque ranging from 5 to 100 kgm (load × torque arm). Some products are also available in all stainless steel for cleanroom compatibility. The basic model is coated with black Teflon, which is resistant to rust. Additionally, it can operate and maintain load even without power during emergencies. It has been introduced as a mechanical element in various applications, including explosion-proof measures, defense and military-related fields, plant-related industries, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, automotive assembly lines, and device cover opening and closing.

Applications/Examples of results
Space-saving can be achieved compared to worm gear reducers. Efficiency is also good. Many devices that want to maintain self-holding during operation, such as furnace elevation and door opening and closing, have been adopted. Used by semiconductor equipment manufacturers, automotive manufacturers (factories), plant manufacturers, and in the architecture and interior fields.

Company information
The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developing applied products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, this mechanism has them aligned in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise, resulting in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new business for overseas parts procurement, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are also procured overseas, and we hope to leverage our achievements and network to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
