Reliability of "Photocatalytic Titanister" [Awarded in the Ministry of Defense Water Purification Contest]
Our photocatalytic technology has been proven to purify non-potable water to drinking water quality.
The evaluation of small water purification devices produced by various companies was conducted within the Ministry of Defense as part of a water contest organized by the ministry (a technology to purify non-potable water into potable water). As a result, out of many applications, the technologies of four companies were selected in the preliminary technical review, including our photocatalytic technology. Our company equipped the photocatalytic material "Titanistar(R)" and ultraviolet lamps, and successfully purified contaminated water created by the Ministry of Defense within the specified time. Subsequently, the water was collected by the Ministry of Defense for quality testing, and the results of the water quality inspection conducted by the Minister of Defense showed a score close to full marks. What is the photocatalyst "Titanistar"? It is not a coating-type photocatalyst, nor does it use any of the raw materials typically employed in such products. By simply performing surface oxidation treatment on titanium within pure titanium metal, it generates a titanium dioxide photocatalytic film on the surface of pure titanium. This film contains no impurities and is generated seamlessly on pure titanium. It is characterized by high photocatalytic ability and a highly durable film.
