basic information
WIKA's standard thermometers are suitable for use in industrial laboratories. By combining WIKA's temperature calibration baths and dry well calibrators, easy comparative calibration can be performed. In particular, when calibrating short probes, it is recommended to use an external reference thermometer. A temperature gradient occurs within the temperature calibrator, and by aligning the sensor heights of the calibrator and the device under calibration, measurement uncertainty can be minimized. For high-precision temperature measurements, the multifunctional high-precision thermometer CTR3000, which supports multi-channel applications, is suitable. By using these solutions to build a temperature calibration system, it is possible to maintain a constant temperature for both the reference instrument and the device under calibration. When performing calibration, it is necessary to place the standard thermometer and the test probe under the same temperature conditions. Once the calibration temperature is reached stably, the output values (such as resistance and electromotive force) are immediately measured, and comparative calibration with the standard instrument is conducted. By using comparative calibration, the differences in temperature conditions can be ignored, thereby reducing measurement uncertainty.
