The lifecycle cost of a motor is comprised of 96% energy, making the use of energy-efficient motors the key to achieving energy savings. IE5 can reduce energy losses by up to 40% compared to IE3, contributing to the improvement of overall system energy efficiency. In particular, low-voltage motor drive systems have pumps consuming 40% of power and fans 20%, making them applications where energy savings and cost reductions are easily realized.
