Before the painting process, it is essential to carry out substrate preparation. Substrate preparation is the work of "changing the surface of the object to be painted into a state suitable for painting." There are various methods for substrate preparation, but the most superior among them is considered to be "blast treatment." At Harada Ironworks, we have equipped two types of large air-operated blast equipment, allowing us to accommodate a wide range of materials and finishes. "Sandblast" and "Grit Blast" with dimensions of 7m in width, 10m in depth, and 3.5m in height, with two units available. The blast equipment has double-opening doors, making it capable of handling items longer than 10m. Additionally, by changing the abrasive, we can also perform "Glass Bead Blast" and "Shot Blast." The blast equipment is manual, allowing operators to directly hold the nozzle, making it easy to work on complex fabricated products and the interiors of tanks without any issues! We can accommodate various applications such as substrate treatment before rust prevention, paint stripping for maintenance items, removal of oxidation films after heat treatment, and improving adhesion for materials like rubber and resin.
