We would like to introduce a consulting case for a medical device manufacturer. It was discovered that the umbrella insurance policy covering the entire world, which includes primary insurance from overseas local insurance companies and secondary insurance from Japan, has inconsistencies in its coverage and is not a valid method of insurance. Therefore, we held multiple study sessions for insurance personnel and local corporate representatives to explain the issues with the current umbrella insurance policy. We proposed a reconstruction of the insurance design suitable for the company from a global perspective, including local laws and customs.
