◆ A research and development center aimed at solving challenges in the construction industry opens Takamiya Co., Ltd. announced on May 15 that it will open the "Innovation Hub" within its research and development center "Takamiya Lab. West," aimed at addressing challenges in the construction industry, in mid-September. The company is a comprehensive platform for temporary equipment, developing, manufacturing, selling, and renting next-generation scaffolding systems called the "Iq System," which aims to improve productivity at construction sites. In the fiscal year 2023, it is working on solutions to enhance efficiency at construction sites and tackle challenges using digital transformation (DX), including the announcement of a new business model called the "Takamiya Platform," which combines temporary equipment and DX. ◆ Research and development of solutions in the construction industry "Takamiya Lab. West" is a base for researching and developing solutions to construction challenges. Additionally, the "Innovation Hub" will conduct research and development of solutions and demonstration experiments to create solutions aimed at problem-solving. It will also verify the various services of the "Takamiya Platform" and conduct research on setting safety standards and visualization for temporary equipment, with the goal of addressing the labor shortage in the construction industry and improving productivity.
