The Dry Hunter is a bed bug-specific inspection board packed with pest control techniques that attract bed bugs using dry ice, without the use of chemicals.
With the increase in travelers from overseas, reports indicate that the number of consultations regarding bedbugs is rising, raising concerns about the expansion of damage within the country. Bedbugs hide in the gaps of bedding and furniture, as well as behind curtains, and attach themselves to the body during sleep at night, causing severe itching. Until now, accommodation facilities have had no means to independently check the presence of bedbugs. As a result, the current situation is that they can only grasp the situation after damage occurs or after visual confirmation of their presence. Taisho Quest has developed a specialized adhesive board for capturing bedbugs, utilizing their preference for carbon dioxide. It is essential to establish a system for regular monitoring of bedbug control, managing the occurrence of bedbugs on a daily basis, and enabling early detection.

basic information
The Dry Hunter attracts bed bugs using dry ice and captures them with adhesive. To ensure proper contact with the floor, a half-cut fold is provided 10mm inward from the outer perimeter on all four sides. After bending it at a 45-degree angle, it is placed on the floor to increase the contact area with the floor, enhancing the capture effectiveness. The areas coated with adhesive are covered with release paper, which is removed during use. A space is designated in the central white area for approximately 500g of dry ice. As the dry ice vaporizes, carbon dioxide is generated, attracting bed bugs to the adhesive area. It takes about 8 hours for approximately 500g of dry ice to completely vaporize. During this time, moisture in the air and the cold air from the dry ice condense, resulting in a small amount of water droplets. However, both sides of the cardboard sheet are laminated with a thin film, preventing moisture from soaking into or deforming the cardboard sheet. Additionally, after use, it can be reused by reapplying the release paper.
