[Test Setup] The actual setup was conducted in a low-temperature room (room temperature 16 degrees). First, the parabolic heater was set to 800W and allowed to heat for about three hours to reach a thermally stable state. As shown in the figure below, plates treated with each product (1: heat-insulating paint G, 2: heat-insulating paint R, 3: ThermoBarrier Sky method Sky Sheet) were installed vertically at a distance of 22 cm from the heater. The temperature of the back side, where thermocouples were attached, was measured immediately after installation. After about 15 minutes post-installation, it was confirmed that thermal equilibrium was reached and the temperature of the back side became constant.
-
[Test Results] Compared to two conventional paint products, the temperature of the heat-insulating sheet "Thermo Barrier Sky Method (Sky Sheet)" is kept lower, indicating its outstanding heat insulation effect. The heat flowing from the heater to the plate is proportional to the product of the temperature difference between the plate and its surroundings and the thermal conductivity in a thermal equilibrium state. Under the conditions of this experiment, it is evident that by applying the Thermo Barrier Sky Method Sky Sheet to the surface, it is possible to reduce the incoming heat by approximately 16% compared to when using heat-insulating paint.
-
[Test Setup] With the same setup as the above test, a thermographic camera was installed to visualize the surface temperature of each plate. Additionally, the back side was painted black to ensure that the temperature could be visualized under the same conditions.

【Test Results】 The difference in thermal insulation effects is clearly visible by visualizing temperature with thermography. By applying the ThermoBarrier Sky method (Sky Sheet) to the surface of a plate facing a radiant heat source, it is possible to significantly block radiant heat. Compared to thermal insulation paint, the thermal insulation effect of the ThermoBarrier Sky method (Sky Sheet) is superior.

By using thermal barriers on the roofs and walls of homes and factories, it is possible to suppress the rise in building temperature caused by the radiant heat of the summer sun, thereby lowering the perceived temperature. This makes it possible to reduce the use of air conditioning. Thermal barriers are also effective in winter. In winter, the indoor temperature tends to escape outside. Since thermal barriers reflect the radiant heat generated indoors back into the room, they help prevent a decrease in indoor temperature. Utilizing this function, thermal barriers play a very important role in achieving "cool in summer and warm in winter" easily and affordably.
