We will introduce examples of underground root prevention using the "Take Guard Method."
The bamboo guard method is a technique that suppresses the growth of bamboo (bamboo shoots) from above. However, in some cases, there may be a desire to suppress not only the surface but also the underground bamboo roots. In such cases, we recommend installing a "subsurface root barrier" by folding a 2-meter wide bamboo guard sheet in half and setting it up in an L-shape both vertically and horizontally. The case we are introducing this time is based on a consultation we received stating, "Bamboo growing on a cliff along a public river is invading private land and causing trouble, so we want to block not only the surface but also the underground roots." We proposed the subsurface root barrier of the bamboo guard method. *Excavation will require heavy machinery.
