Water-based paint binder with weather resistance equivalent to Kynar 500.
Kynar Aquatec® is a binder for high-weather-resistant water-based paints that enhances adhesion to various substrates while lowering the minimum film-forming temperature by uniquely mixing acrylic with a water-based emulsion of PVDF resin, making it suitable for use in room-temperature drying paints. Due to the high curing temperature required, the high-weather-resistant Kynar 500® paint can only be used on metal substrates; however, by using Kynar Aquatec®, it is possible to produce high-weather-resistant paints for substrates with low heat resistance or those that are difficult to paint in a factory setting.
