This is a seminar focused on the challenges faced by shipbuilding parts manufacturers. It will explain new production systems and key points for production planning, taking into account the characteristics of the industry.
The shipbuilding industry is composed of shipowners, shipbuilders, and parts manufacturers, with parts manufacturers requiring synchronized production with construction plans. While the plans demanded by shipowners remain fixed, there is a need for flexible responses to delays in specification finalization and urgent requests, and many companies rely on the responsiveness of their on-site operations. In such an environment, it is important to build a production management system that can accommodate changes, rather than thinking "changes will happen anyway." This seminar will explain the state of production management and productivity improvement based on the realities of shipbuilding parts manufacturers.
