By more than doubling the oil change interval, customers have been able to save on engine downtime, labor costs, and maintenance expenses. The IOW centrifugal oil separator has achieved a dirt removal rate of 8.7 grams per hour. Ultimately, the annual savings gained by extending the oil change interval can be substantial. According to calculations at the time of publication, with an average of 7,000 operating hours, an oil price of \$8.50 per gallon, and disposal costs of \$0.80 per gallon, this customer is estimated to save \$17,354 due to the IOW centrifugal separator filter.
