The surface coating is made of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), providing durability of over 15 years. It offers strength while weighing less than half that of wood. For example, the Alumiwood 70×70×2200mm weighs approximately 4.4kg, while natural wood (Ipe) 70×70×2100mm weighs about 10.3kg. The 45mm posts can be embedded in blocks, and the 70mm posts allow for the installation of fences over 1.5m.
