It is used when a considerable single-phase load (one circuit) needs to be obtained from a three-phase circuit through the transformer's connections, and this method is called the reverse V connection method. (Reverse V connection: Phase conversion and voltage conversion from three-phase to one-phase) ◇ Advantages: Unlike Scott transformers, it does not require two circuits on the load side. ◇ Disadvantages: The three-phase input current does not become a balanced three-phase current like in Scott connections.
