Infrastructure damage analysis software POLYGONALmeister
POLYGONALmaster (Seikowave version)
Software for damage analysis of infrastructure and production equipment surfaces.
In bridge inspections such as those for unpainted or painted bridges, to efficiently and consistently assess damaged areas, it is essential to move away from inspection methods that rely on intuition and experience, and to adopt objective evaluations based on numerical data. By measuring the surface characteristics of damaged areas with a 3D scanner and analyzing the acquired 3D data using "POLYGONALmeister (Seikowave version)" with simple operations, it is possible to quantify and visualize deformations and output them as CSV files. By importing the CSV file into Excel and utilizing Excel functions, it becomes easier not only to understand the current situation but also to capture changes over time. This can be immediately utilized in reports, leading to increased efficiency in report generation.

Applications/Examples of results
3D measurement and the analysis of POLYGONALmeister (surface irregularity inspection function) are primarily utilized in the following fields: - Quantification of corrosion and wall thinning on pressure vessel surfaces and evaluation of fitness for use - Quantification of damage on infrastructure structures' surfaces and understanding of aging changes For the safe operation of production plants, it is essential to accurately measure wall thinning and ensure that sufficient residual strength remains. Detailed surface shape data obtained through 3D measurement and the analysis results based on POLYGONALmeister fulfill this purpose. Proximity visual inspections of infrastructure structures are mandated to be conducted every five years; however, there have been cases where sufficiently objective judgments have not been made. The analysis using 3D measurement and POLYGONALmeister enables the objectification of judgments.

Seikowave, K.K. contributes to the improvement of safety and security in social infrastructure through the development and sale of 3D measurement devices (3D scanners). In 2010, we established corporations in the United States and Japan, and since then, we have been promoting our business by focusing on the joint development of hardware for 3D measurement devices and software for analysis and evaluation of corrosion, among other things. Leveraging our past technologies and know-how, we provide products and services primarily for the Japanese market that can be used for inspecting the aging deterioration of social infrastructure structures (steel structures and concrete structures) and diagnosing whether the aging deterioration of production facilities in oil and petrochemical complexes can continue to operate safely. Maintenance of aging social infrastructure is an essential field that cannot be avoided. By replacing traditional visual and sensory evaluations with data-based assessments, we can achieve safer maintenance management while keeping costs down. We are committed to promoting our business to continue contributing to the improvement of safety and security in society. Representative Director, Minoru Shinmura
