Nevertheless, the second president met various people both inside and outside the company, received help, and accomplished the founder's seemingly impossible demands: "Debt-free management, a capital ratio of over 50% for companies that survived the Great Depression, and the abolition of self-issued promissory notes." Moreover, he, along with his predecessors, helped establish a crucial free-spirited environment for manufacturing and technology development.
