The designs of buildings we usually see are mostly linear. In addition to being easier to construct, linear designs have the advantage of allowing for larger volumes. On the other hand, in structures that prioritize functionality, such as oil tanks and gas tanks, curved designs may be adopted. Oil and gas tanks are shaped round to evenly distribute the pressure, as the contents can expand due to changes in external temperature. Moreover, designs that utilize curves have become more common in hotels and commercial facilities. Even when constructing these circular structures, scaffolding is necessary.
