We would like to introduce a case study that addresses challenges by combining our expertise in press-fitting technology with an approach from the jig side and automation robot control technology. The theme for this time is "We want to press-fit multiple points with one machine." One of the themes for advancing automation is the consolidation of processes. As we progress with EV products, there is also a demand for compactness. Typically, when multiple press-fit points are required, a device would be needed to move the product to each press-fit location for every single point. However, in this case, we needed a device where the robot holds the servo press, which is the press-fitting power. This method is challenging because errors on the robot side frequently occur due to the load, making adjustments difficult. Even after consulting with robot manufacturers, there are often cases where it is not feasible. However, we successfully completed a device that effectively combines our jig-side development based on our previous press-fitting technology with the control technology of robots that have handled various automation tasks. We are a manufacturer specializing in the design and production of dedicated machines, including press-fitting and testing/measuring devices, as well as robots. Regarding press-fitting, we have developed our own testing equipment that can propose numerical values such as load even in the prototype stage, and we accept various consultations that include issues related to specifications and design. With the aim of solving "customer challenges and concerns," we have seen a demand for automation in press-fitting machines and inspection devices in recent years. For example: - Equipment that includes loading and unloading (packaging) for press-fitting devices - Inspection of products from all directions (automation of visual inspection) To respond more precisely to these needs, we have introduced robots in-house, evolving our role from mere transportation to verifying and proposing changes in the work itself. Leveraging our past achievements, we are open to various consultations from across the country, even for projects that have been declined elsewhere, maintaining a challenging attitude without being constrained by fixed ideas. We aim to provide flexible proposals tailored to our customers, understanding both the advantages and disadvantages of using "robots at times and no robots at other times," based on our proven track record. In 2022, to tackle new jigs that had been abandoned due to the limitations of handling multiple products and weight restrictions in traditional metal processing, we introduced a 3D printer.
