We would like to introduce a case study of a trial for nylon coating as a surface treatment method for a medical device manufacturer specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Most of the vaginal speculums currently in use are made of stainless steel, which has the disadvantage of being "cold" as it directly touches the mucous membrane. We proposed a masking technique that allows for assembly and positioning without stress for the patient, and conducted several trial prototypes. As a result, a product that satisfied the manufacturer was completed.
