Shin-Yo Electric Co., Ltd. has been designing and manufacturing original lighting fixtures in Japan for 74 years as a lighting manufacturer. All processes for our original Japanese-style lighting are done by hand. Woodworking artisans in Shizuoka cut the wood and assemble each piece by hand, and we are committed to domestic craftsmanship for electrical work as well. The washi paper used is all reinforced washi (Walon) coated with synthetic resin. While it has the texture of washi paper, it is resistant to tearing, and there is almost no fading or deterioration. It can also be wiped with water, making maintenance easy.
