Introducing a survey on evacuation shelters during disasters, based on responses from 500 people with experience staying in shelters.
Recently, natural disasters such as typhoons, heavy rain, and earthquakes have been occurring frequently across Japan. Disasters are no longer someone else's problem. As disaster awareness increases, "evacuation centers" are becoming more familiar to us. Therefore, we conducted a "Survey on Evacuation Centers during Disasters." The most common issue experienced while staying at an evacuation center, with 59.4% of respondents, was related to toilets, and the top request for improvements at evacuation centers was also for toilets. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document.
