The 【Veneer Revolution】 Fire-Resistant Regional Wood Veneer Sheet Emma This is an introduction to the American cherry quarter-sawn veneer that was adopted by Nomura Real Estate Co., Ltd. at H1O Aoyama. Cherry wood has a distinct color difference between the heartwood and sapwood. The former is reddish-brown or red, while the latter is light pink. If you look closely, you can see irregular areas that are slightly greenish, similar to Japanese cherry species. Additionally, like Japanese cherry species, you may find scattered blemish patterns known as "pisiflex" within the wood, and sometimes small pockets containing a viscous substance. The growth rings are somewhat visible. The wood is moderately heavy and hard, with an air-dried specific gravity of 0.56. The grain is straight, and the texture is fine. It is easy to process, including cutting, and the finished surface is excellent.
