VIPER is a three-dimensional magnetic position measurement system that utilizes magnetism.
VIPER is a three-dimensional magnetic position measurement system that utilizes magnetism. The system consists of a source (TX-2) that generates the magnetic field, a sensor (RX-2), and a control unit (SEU) that manages these components, enabling detection in six degrees of freedom. Unlike other systems (optical, ultrasonic, camera-based), the magnetic system provides measurement data in real-time without being affected by physical obstacles (blind spots). In addition to its compact and lightweight body, it achieves the highest accuracy in POLHEMUS's product history and an astonishing sampling rate comparable to high-speed cameras at a low cost. Furthermore, a new function has been added to alleviate magnetic field distortion caused by the presence of metal in the measurement environment, which has been a weak point of magnetic sensors. VIPER proposes operations in a wide range of new fields where the use of magnetic sensors has been challenging until now.

basic information
【Specifications】 - Accuracy (RMS): Position 0.38mm / Angle 0.10° (when the distance between the source and sensor is 76cm) - Resolution: Position 0.0010mm / Angle 0.0003° (when the distance between the source and sensor is 30cm) - Measurement Range: Approximately 76cm radius (when using only one source) *The range can be expanded by adding multiple sources. - Sampling: Selectable from 30Hz, 60Hz, 120Hz, 240Hz, 480Hz, 960Hz (with limitations based on grade) *Increasing the number of sensors and sources does not affect the sampling rate. - Response: 1ms at 960Hz, 2ms at 480Hz, 3ms at 240Hz (dependent on sampling rate) - Interface: USB2.0 or RS422 (simultaneous output is also possible)
