Infections caused by tuberculosis and the novel coronavirus, among others, occur through airborne transmission (bacteria contained in droplets that scatter when a patient coughs). To prevent the spread of this infection, isolation and special ventilation are required. This sputum collection booth is designed to prevent the dispersion of droplets during sputum collection by maintaining negative pressure inside, purifying the exhaust through ventilation and HEPA filters, and further preventing the release of harmful aerosols through the use of sterilizing lamps.
