The one-way communication restriction device data diode "OWCD" has previously been utilized either for file transfer or UDP communication. We have now added a new "OPC UA communication" feature! OPC UA is a standard developed for industrial communication that enables data exchange across manufacturers' products and operating systems, ensuring interoperability for industrial use by making it secure, robust, and reliable. Particularly, industrial equipment often communicates using proprietary standards, making it challenging to integrate with IT systems, such as core systems (ERP). Therefore, the versatile and flexible OPC UA has been adopted as the communication protocol for industrial equipment. However, standards that ensure interoperability can become barriers when managing production equipment and segmenting between OT and IT. To address this, we have prepared unidirectional restricted communication software compatible with OPC UA that passes through OWCD.
