The lightweight "Bell Block Lite" dramatically evolves tunnel construction!
● Developed and released a dedicated bell block for on-site handholes in tunnels using square E-flex. ● Improved workability by changing the material from resin concrete to resin, reducing product weight by approximately half. ● Contributed to the development of road infrastructure by shortening construction periods for tunnel work using square E-flex. As a new addition to the multi-line square E-flex series, we have developed and released the Bell Block Lite, which can contribute to shortening the construction period for tunnel cable installation. Compared to the conventional resin concrete bell blocks, it is lightweight at about half the weight, which is expected to enhance labor efficiency in construction. Additionally, while the current mainstream wall thickness for on-site handholes in tunnels is 150mm and 200mm, the previous resin lineup required a 50mm recess at the connection part of the handhole bell block for a wall thickness of 200mm for curing. With the addition of a type that accommodates a wall thickness of 200mm, it will now be possible to handle handholes with a wall thickness of 200mm without the need for curing.
