The Japan Association of Hypochlorous Acid Chemical Industry, with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, has been working on establishing "scientifically reliable standards for commercially available hypochlorous acid water products." Recently, after going through the development process based on the JSA standard development system of the "JSA General Foundation Japan Standards Association," it has been officially approved as a JSA standard, and on March 25, 2022, the JSA standard "JSA-S1012:2022 Hypochlorous Acid Molecular Aqueous Solution" was issued.
