We have developed a "cleaning device and process" that applies "chiffon cleaning" to achieve a turbidity of 2 degrees or less in the washing wastewater of slow sand filtration and scraped sand. The "Chiffon Under 2" can clean the scraped filtration sand to a condition comparable to new sand, realizing a reduction in processing time and water usage.
