Real-time automatic viscosity measurement management system contributing to cost reduction.
Opti-Color Automatic Viscosity Control System
Viscosity management, essential for material quality in manufacturing sites. Real-time automatic viscosity management directly leads to product cost reduction. Trust in opti-color, with years of proven results.
Severe viscosity management in manufacturing environments where a few seconds of difference directly leads to significant material loss. Traditional manual measurement with measuring cups poses considerable challenges. The accuracy differences in numerous simple measuring devices directly impact product costs. High precision that does not allow competitors to catch up. The real-time automatic viscosity measurement and management system from the German company opti-color, with years of proven results in various fields, demonstrates its power!

-
This is a basic setup diagram. A rotary sensor is inserted into the product material to measure viscosity in real time.
-
The measurement principle reads the change in resistance of a rotating sensor inserted into the measured viscous medium.

Please take a look at the Zahn cup viscosity curve graph provided by Opti-Color. The vertical axis of the graph represents the drop time in seconds of the Zahn cup, while the horizontal axis indicates the CP viscosity. Each curve is labeled with the abbreviation of the measuring container. Typical examples include Rig3: Cup 3 from the Rheo company, Rig4: Cup 4 from the Rheo company, z2: Zahn Cup 2, and z3: Zahn Cup 3. In Japan, we recommend Cup 3 from the Rheo company, which is similar to the curve of Zahn Cup 2 (for overseas use). Please confirm that Rig 3 and z2 intersect at the red box 1. It can be seen that the steeper the curve, the smaller the variation in CP viscosity, while conversely, the gentler the curve, the larger the range of variation in CP viscosity. The gentler the cup's curve, the greater the viscosity change due to short time variations, requiring considerable skill from the field operator. For example, "Zahn Cup 3" corresponds to the z3 curve. A change of just a few seconds can cause the CP viscosity to fluctuate by several tens of times, making measurement extremely difficult. It is clear that as the viscosity of the fluid handled in the field increases, the error in time measurement by the cup also increases, directly leading to losses in fluid materials (higher product costs).
