◆Construction DX Utilizing Mixed Reality Technology On February 22, 2023, Informatics Co., Ltd. announced a case study utilizing MR (Mixed Reality) technology in intersection improvement work in Miyagi Prefecture. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with Tokyo Paving Industry Co., Ltd., which introduced the MR system to the site around October last year, aiming to promote digital transformation (DX). ◆Projecting Holograms in the Correct Position The MR system unveiled this time uses Microsoft's augmented reality headset "HoloLens 2" and a dedicated application "GyroEye Holo," along with an add-on software called "TS+," jointly developed by Informatics and Chiyoda Instruments Co., Ltd. By achieving high-precision display through integration with surveying equipment total stations and real-time correction of positional deviations, it resolved the issues of previous systems that could not project holograms in the correct position. In addition to site verification at the start of construction, consistency checks with design documents, and confirmation of construction after completion, it is also used to explain the completed image to residents involved in entrance and exit construction.
