The removal of raise bore reamers has generally been a dangerous, complex, costly, and time-consuming process. For this reason, PYBAR Mining Services, a specialist in underground mining, understood the need to develop a safe working method for removing large-diameter reamers in an underground mining environment. Thus, the "Enerpac SL100 Hydraulic Gantry System" was used. The hydraulic gantry provides a safe and efficient way to lift and position heavy loads. It is placed on a skid track and offers means for moving and positioning heavy items. With a maximum lifting capacity of 110 tons, it is operated remotely using the Intellilift wireless control system, which is included with all Enerpac hydraulic gantries.
