Abreik has the effect of reducing oil particles to an extremely small size when it comes into contact with oil (micronization). The more this "micronization" progresses, the closer its specific gravity becomes to that of water. Furthermore, when water is added, it flows into the finely divided particles, expanding the distance between them and dispersing them (hydrolysis). The micronized oil is then broken down by microorganisms and returned to the natural environment. Due to the effects of "micronization" and "hydrolytic dispersion," the oil loses its physical properties and can no longer recombine or reattach. As a result, it prevents the formation of oil slicks caused by floating oil and also prevents solidification due to bonding. By breaking down oil, which is the primary cause of pollution, it prevents secondary contamination of oil in cleaning wastewater and is gentle on the human body with no toxicity. Unlike conventional neutralizers, it prevents the emulsification of water and oil (such as the milky phenomenon). Additionally, it can be used under all conditions, whether in soft water, hard water, or seawater. Its biodegradability is over 98% (according to the Japan Analysis Center), allowing for the hydrolytic dispersion of oil. Furthermore, its components are neutral, so it does not harm the human body or the biological environment. By breaking down oil to the molecular level, it prevents the formation of oil slicks, adhesion, or recombination.
