Mitanihan Forestry announces a housing brand made with natural materials and solid natural wood.
[News] Achieving low prices while using high-quality natural materials.
A brand with the concept of "proposing a soft lifestyle" Watahan Forestry Co., Ltd. will start selling the housing brand 'cotton1/2', developed in collaboration with its group company Science Home, on January 10, 2023. This brand features houses built using traditional Japanese wooden construction techniques, emphasizing natural materials by using solid wood for all structural materials and incorporating natural materials such as paulownia flooring and diatomaceous earth wallpaper in the interior. The design includes "climbing beams" that rise along the roof, creating large open spaces by combining columns and beams. This provides a visual sense of security, as if the entire building is being supported. High quality and low price coexist The 'cotton1/2' brand has made it possible to offer homes using high-quality natural materials at low prices by panelizing floors, walls, and ceilings, and by maintaining a consistent production process from sourcing to processing wood. By enhancing cost performance, the brand addresses the needs of customers who are unable to proceed with new home construction due to rising housing material costs. It aims to re-establish wooden houses, which have low environmental impact and high durability, as the standard for housing in Japan.
