Metal filter (porous metal) porous metal body cermet
Metal filter (porous metal) porous metal body cermet
What is a cermet? A unique porous metallic body with a porosity of 98%.
<Features of Cermet> 1. Metal porous body with continuous pores Cermet has a continuous pore structure formed by three-dimensional triangular prism-shaped skeletons, which results in less clogging and lower pressure loss compared to sintered porous metal powders. 2. High specific surface area The pore diameter and thickness can be controlled to maximize the specific surface area. * Up to 8 times higher specific surface area compared to flat plates. 3. High porosity (98%) Even after rolling, it maintains a high porosity. - Compressed to half the thickness: Porosity is over 90% - Compressed to one-tenth the thickness: Porosity is over 50% * Porosity refers to the ratio of the volume of space to the total volume of the material, also known as void ratio. 4. Easy to process such as cutting and pressing Compared to metal fibers, porous ceramics, and metal meshes, it can be processed in various ways, including punching, bending, and pressing.
