This is an explosion-proof wireless device that has passed the type certification for explosion-proof structural electrical machinery by the Industrial Safety Association, allowing for wireless communication in hazardous locations.

The PD798Ex (PD-798Ex) is an intrinsically safe explosion-proof radio manufactured by Hytera. There are two models: a digital-analog/dual-mode general-purpose radio (output 1W) and a specific low-power transceiver (output 0.01W) that comply with JIS standards/IS standards for intrinsic safety and explosion-proofing. Main features of the digital-analog/dual-mode general-purpose radio (output 1W): - It has an Ex ib IIC T4 Gb intrinsically safe explosion-proof structure (Japan). - Equipped with a GPS unit. If the mobile unit deviates from the designated area, an alarm will sound, and a warning message will be sent. - It includes a man-down notification feature.
