[Stress Luminescence Technology - Use Cases] Agile Design Through 3D Printed Objects

By applying stress-sensitive luminescent paint to 3D printed objects, the accuracy of load prediction can be improved!

<What is Stress Luminescence?> The core of stress luminescence technology is stress luminescent particles (ceramics, with a representative material being SrAl2O4:Eu2+, emitting green light). This stress luminescent material is applied as a coating or sheet to the area of interest where "force information" is desired. When a load is applied, the resulting stress luminescence is captured using a camera or similar device, allowing us to see where the force is applied and the extent of the strain that occurs. This is "stress luminescence." <Examples of Stress Luminescence Applications> *Provided by AIST ■ Subject: Objects created by 3D printer output ■ Material: Resin ■ Development Example: Enhanced prediction and agile design through the use of stress luminescence applied to 3D printed objects. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or contact us.
