The QC-337 is a Elmendorf-type tear strength testing machine that measures the strength at the beginning of tearing for materials such as paper, textiles, and PVC. After fixing the test specimen, a knife is used to make a cut in the specimen, and the specimen is torn using the energy from the swinging pendulum.
