[Stress Luminescence Technology - Application Example] Confirmation of Deterioration of Bolts and Welded Joints in Ceiling Cranes
Active in preventive maintenance of equipment. A case study on the use of stress luminescence technology to "visualize" dynamic strain information.
<What is Stress Luminescence?> The core of stress luminescence technology is stress luminescent particles (ceramics, with a representative material being SrAl2O4:Eu2+, emitting green light). This stress luminescent material is applied as paint or a sheet to the area of interest where "force information" is desired. When a load is applied, the resulting stress luminescence is captured using a camera, allowing us to see where force is applied and the extent of the resulting strain. This is "stress luminescence." <Examples of Stress Luminescence Applications> ■ Target: Ceiling cranes (bolt and weld areas) ■ Application Method: Stress luminescent painting ■ Purpose: By applying it to areas that may develop cracks due to aging deterioration, the deterioration status can be visualized. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or contact us.
