The vertical tower cultivation system "Vege Tree" features eight cultivation shafts arranged vertically that slowly rotate to the left. The difference in light intensity between the north and south is eliminated, allowing sunlight to shine evenly on all plants, resulting in uniform growth. The device has a footprint of 90 cm square and a height of 2.3 m, with the top of the vegetables positioned about 2 m above the floor. Our rotating tower type system allows multiple plants to share fixed LED lights, making it a low-cost and efficient cultivation method that requires fewer LED lights. In family restaurants, serving robots are actively used primarily to reduce labor costs, and this method can also be applied to the rotating tower cultivation system, enabling the automation of plant factories through improvements.
