The SS400 outdoor tank was blast-treated and then spray-painted.
The interior is untreated, and only the exterior has been painted. The tank is large, with dimensions of 2500mm in diameter and 4400mm in height. The specifications include painting after blast treatment with a salt-resistant coating. First, impurities and rust on the surface were removed by blasting, and then the paint was applied in six layers, consisting of inorganic zinc, thick-film epoxy resin, and urethane resin. Although not shown in the photos, the handrails and stairs were also painted, with the top coat being yellow. Even with such a large tank, the number of overhead cranes and the spacious painting area allowed for the painting to be carried out without any issues. The delivery time was slightly over one week, but by using cranes for the painting, we were able to reduce the labor involved in flipping the tank and manage to meet the scheduled delivery date.
